New Suzuki Swift SZ-L Hatchback Special Edition
The car is called the Swift SZ-L, and the basic idea is that it looks more sporty than it really is. Despite looking rather like a 1.5-litre GLX, it's actually based on the 1.3 GL five-door, so although it costs the same to buy as a GLX of the same body type it's more economical and cheaper to insure and tax.
Extra equipment fitted to the SZ-L but not normally available on 1.3 models includes 15" alloy wheels, metallic or pearlescent paint, air-conditioning, side protection mouldings, carpet mats, heated and folding door mirrors and a certain amount of interior chrome.
The SZ-L costs £10,250 and, like the other 1.3s, it has official combined fuel economy of 48.7mpg and 140g/km CO2 emissions, and falls into insurance Group 4.
