Nissan 350Z Dragster with 3.5 l V6 Engine
John Bradshaw has created the Project Zed dragster and it will be the first ever Pro Class 350Z in Europe to compete in the FIA European Finals. The heavily modified Nissan 350Z features a 3.5-litre V6 engine with around 1,900 horsepower.
“It’s incredible to finally have the car ready to test now and we are all very excited by its potential. It really is a car that is capable of setting records around the world and just shows what a Nissan engine is capable of producing,” said Bradshaw.
The dragster was hand built by Mr Bradshaw, and it will accelerate from 0-100km/h in only 1.2 seconds where the 270km/h mark comes in 4.1 seconds. The 346km/h speed comes in only 6.6 seconds.
Nissan are supporting the Project Zed dragster, and they will have a stand at the show that runs from the 10th to the 13th of September at the Santa Pod Raceway in the UK.

2010 Nissan GTR | The Fastest Fire Fighter at Nurburgring
When you run one of the most enticing yet unforgiving racetracks in the world, inevitably you will also have accidents. But getting emergency aid to crashed vehicles can be a real problem, so a Nissan GT-R will be used as an emergency response vehicle at the Nrburgring in Germany.
The ultimate fire-fighting vehicle was presented by Nissan to Nrburgring GmbH to provide the fastest possible response to emergency calls at Nrburgring's Nordschleife circuit.
Equipped with a fire extinguishing system, having both water and foam on board, plus a fire hose in the trunk, this GT-R was designed to get to the scene of an accident in the quickest possible time.
In standard form, the GT-R is capable of lapping the famous Nordschleife in only 7 mins 26.7 seconds, making it the perfect tool for the Nrburgring's emergency services. Even with the extra 200kg of fire fighting equipment, this GT-R can still lap the challenging circuit in less than 8 minutes!
Nissan Gtr Emergency Vehicle Trunk View
When hundreds of amateur drivers take to the circuit in Germany's Eifel region during public test drives, accidents are common. With over 12 miles of tarmac to cover, getting to the scene of a blaze in a bulky fire truck takes valuable time, so the GT-R will provide fire fighters with an invaluable fast response safety tool.
The redesigned GT-R is a gift from Nissan to the Nrburgring operator in thanks for the company's collaboration in developing the 485hp supercar. The fire-fighting conversion was carried out by M&M Automotive a car development and motorsport specialist in Bonn, Germany.
The GT-R's backseats were removed and replaced with a 50-liter water tank, which was secured by a rollcage. There is a medium-pressure extinguisher system (20-bar) as well as a winding device for the hose. The only other addition was the radio communication system and new Recaro seats. With a foam reach of around 60ft and a 60ft hose, the unit will be able to fight fires for almsot two minutes on one tank.

2010 Nissan GT-R Car Images
Supercars have always existed to keep our passion for automobiles on constant boil, and supercars that don't crest the six-figure mark are the best kind. They're almost attainable. The Nissan GT-R remains that way for 2010 with a price bump to help pay for a few upgrades from the factory. The base model will begin at $80,790 and the Premium model at $83,040. According to Edmunds.com, the new MSRPs are both $3,950 more than what you would pay for a 2009 model.
What does an extra four grand get you? A lot actually, not the least of which is a 5-horsepower bump for the twin-turbo 3.8-liter V6, which nets a new grand total of 485 hp. Other additions include a retuned suspension with redesigned Bilstein shocks, an upgraded braking system with more rigid brake lines, standard front seat- and roof-mounted side curtain airbags for the base GT-R model, standard wheels for the GT-R with a darker finish and "near-black" metallic wheels for the Premium model. A new color is also available, Pearl White, and you get a polished front bumper now when ordering your car in Super Silver.
Oh, and there's one more thing: Nissan has given the GT-R new Transmission Control Module programming. The new code is said to increase durability and drop acceleration times with the Vehicle Dynamic Control activated. It should also put an end to concerns about damaging the transmission by using the vehicle's Launch Control with VDC turned off. Preliminary reports indicate that the 2010 GT-R is still faster than all get out with the new programming.

The better-equipped Touring package starts at $34,460 with the 6-speed manual or $35,760 with the aforementioned automatic. The Touring model adds heated leather-appointed power seats, HomeLink, Universal Transceiver, Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System, 8-speaker Bose audio system, XM Satellite Radio, cargo cover and aluminum pedals.
An optional aerodynamics kit adds another $650. Also available is a premium paint color, Chicane Yellow ($500). An Illuminated Kick Plate will set you back $200, and painted splash guards are $220 for four. Carpeted floor mats are $115 for four, while a carpeted trunk mat is $95.
An optional Sport Package, priced at just $3,000, has 19-inch RAYS forged wheels, Bridgestone Potenza tires, aerodynamic front and rear spoilers, larger Nissan Sport Brakes, SynchroRev Match, and a Viscous Limited Slip Differential. The self-explanatory Navigation Package, priced at $1,850, offers a hard drive-based navigation interface with a 9.3GB Music Box Hard Drive and iPod connectivity.
Designed as a replacement to the 350Z, the 370Z's styling is evolutionary. Overall, the 370Z -- which was developed under the code name C53D -- keeps the same general shape as the 350Z. As previously speculated, the newest Z receives a "boomerang" headlight treatment similar to the design seen on the 2009 Maxima.
The rear is also a bit stubbier, with a sharper crease along the trailing edge of the hatch. The 370Z's rear taillights also have a fishhook design similar to those seen on the Maxima's headlights.
The 370Z uses the same VQ37VHR powerplant found in the Infiniti G37 -- a V6 displacing 3.7-liter -- delivering 332 horsepower and 26 mpg on the highway. Those 332 horses will be sent to the 370Z's rear wheels via either a seven-speed automatic or a six-speed manual gearbox. Of note, the six-speed 370Z will be the first vehicle to offer a synchronized downshift rev matching system with a manual transmission.
As expected, the 370Z will offer a serious performance upgrade over the current 350Z. The 370Z will ride on a shorter wheelbase than the current car, and will also use more lightweight materials. Those changes net a lighter curb weight, meaning all around performance -- acceleration, braking and cornering -- will see a marked improvement.
Suspension duties for the new car will be handled by a double wishbone setup up front with a multi-link setup out back. Brembo brakes and 18 and 19 inch wheels will also be part of the 370Z package.
The 370Z should offer buyers a little more cargo room -- although the coupe is not cavernous by any stretch of the imagination -- thanks to the relocation of the car's trunk-mounted support member.
