2010 Smart ForTwo | More Power same Consumption
Smart has increased power on its diesel-powered 2010 Smart ForTwo for its home market. Up 21 percent to 54 horsepower, the diminutive car also makes more torque – 98 lb-ft., an 18 percent increase over before. Fuel consumption remains at 69 mpg combined and CO2 emissions are still 88 g/km despite the power increase, Smart says.
The exterior also gets new pearl black accents and the interior gains a folding armrest option and a newly available hands-free system that includes a color display.
The revised Smart’s price doesn’t increase, either – €11,790 in its German home market.
No word on whether the revised powertrain would be compliant with stringent North American standards.
