2010 Audi R8 | Announced Pricing

Audi has started shipping its 2010 R8 models to U.S. dealers this week and says the all-new R8 V10 will be priced at $147,200 with the manual transmission, including tax and destination. The version with R tronic automatic transmission is priced at $156,300, including tax and destination. The base R8 4.1 FSI Quattro is priced at $115,400 for the manual and $124,500 for the R tronic, including tax and destination, the same as the 2009 model.

The top Audi R8 5.2 FSI Quattro is equipped with the V10 from Audi's R8 LMS GT3 racing car, making 525 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque and taking the R8 from zero to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds.

The first two R8 V10s were delivered this week to winning bidders from the 2009 Boca Raton Concours d'Elegance, whose bids for charity raised $850,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, Florida. The top bid of $500,000 for the 2010 R8 V10 was the highest price ever paid for a new Audi in the U.S.

The V8-powered R8 makes 420 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque. The model was launched in the U.S. in the fall of 2007.

Audi will release pricing information on the rest of its lineup later this summer.
