A serious option : Convertible Range Rover

Convertible Range Rovers are nothing new but 'good looking' convertibles are. NCE in the US have come up with a neat solution.

NCE (Newport Convertible Engineering) in California are well known for ther convertibles, they'll tackle anything and everything, just give them your vehicle and a blank cheque and they'll turn it into a soft top. (They have even created a Rolls Royce pickup!)

Their solution doesn't involve massive roll-hoops like the ones we've seen coming out of the middle east but their foldaway hood is a bit more basic as it just folds down to lie on top of the boot.

The rear tailgate has been modified but is still a two-piece affair.

We can see it being popular in California but with the wet summers we've been having it might not be a regular sight in the UK for a while.
