Citroen New 240HP 3.0 HDi V6 Diesel for C5 and C6 lineup

French auto maker Citroen has revealed a new range-topping diesel powerplant for the auto maker’s C5 Sedan and Estate, as well as for the C6 models. The new 3.0 HDi V6 Diesel with twin-turbos features a new direct injection system and is able to crank out 240HP and a good torque dose of 450Nm.

The new motivator which goes on to replace Citroen’s 2.8-liter HDi V6 diesel offers a 32HP power bump over the unit it replaces, and is said offer improved fuel consumption and emissions figures. Both were reduced by 12% and 15% respectively. To be exact, the new unit delivers 100 kilometers with 7.4 liters of fuel, and releases 195 grams of emissions per kilometer.
